Himeji Castle is my favorite castle in Japan because it is one of the few original castles that were not lost to war and fire unlike many modern reconstructions.
On a sunny morning the Super Hakuto limited express took me to Himeji, west of Kobe. The first car allowed free sight into the driver’s cockpit and the rails in front which was a welcome change to the usual seat row view.
The last article, Chapter 1, was about my first four days in Hokkaido. After taking a flight from Sapporo I will arrive in the Kansai region. What are my plans for the next four days?
